ASUA Rallies for Water, Wastewater System Support

ASUA Rallies for Water, Wastewater System Support Washington DC (April 21) – Members of the Arizona Small Utilities Association (ASUA) visited the nation's capitol April 20-22 to meet with decision makers to renew funding for programs which support the water and wastewater systems of Arizona.

ASUA members, board members and water utility managers met with aides from John Shadegg Dist 3, Trent Franks Dist 2,. Harry Mitchell dist 5, and John McCain's office…they also met with Raul Grijalva and Jeff Flake Dist 6, and Ed Pastor Dist 4 aide to share the mission of the Arizona Small Utilities Association. Issues discussed included the importance of providing loans to rural utilities and continually improving the Circuit Rider, Wastewater and Source Water Protection programs. 

ASUA visits D.C. each year to lobby Congress so that federal tax dollars continue to be spent on keeping drinking water and wastewater systems safe and clean in communities throughout the State.
