ASUA NEW NAME POLL

It is said that a rose by any other name is still a rose. So it follows that an association by any other name is still an association. At the Leadership conference attendees had a chance to vote on a new name for the Arizona Small Utilities Association.

The name change was suggested to better describe those with whom we work most, rural water systems. After checking with the Secretary of State for available names, the Board proposed Grand Canyon State Rural Water Association.

While it is descriptive, it is a real mouthful to answer the phone with. The new name was accepted overwhelmingly, but since the time that name was accepted, another name has become available, Rural Water Association of AZ. We are asking you to choose the name you would like to see the Association take on for the future.
